Enhancing the Vitality of our Community
The Creemore Community Foundation is a not-for-profit organization started in 2019 to enhance the cultural, heritage and physical landscape of our wonderful village of Creemore, in the Township of Clearview.
Founded in 1834, Creemore is a diverse community of farmers, small businesses, artists, local residents, and country homeowners who care deeply about the health, prosperity, and beauty of the town.
The Creemore Community Foundation enables supporters to broadly, and in a tax efficient way, contribute to community enhancements in infrastructure and arts and cultural programming, with a primary goal of preserving the history and architectural heritage of the village while creating a more vibrant community.
A Small Village Thinks Big
The first major project of the Creemore Community Foundation was to build the Creemore Village Green – a 30,000 sf public gathering space privately funded through a generous land donation by the TD Bank and more than $4 million in financial contributions from area residents.
With construction completed, the Creemore Community Foundation then signed a twenty-year management agreement with the Township of Clearview to fund and manage Village Green operations.
In partnership with the Township of Clearview, the Creemore Village Green has become a vibrant community space for gatherings, events, and performances, drawing visitors from near and far, and increasing walking traffic for local businesses.
Funding for its operations and programming is provided through the generosity of individual donors, as well as private and public foundations who give to the Creemore Community Foundation.
